In 1971, ENGR. BIENVENIDO H. SEMERA, a Mechanical Engineer by profession, young and enterprising, made his first debut into the steel industry when he joined the well organized, technically trained and reputable team of sales engineers of Special Steel Products, Inc., the then newly appointed Philippine Distributor of BOHLER Steels of Austria (Next to MESMA, the first to introduce this product in the country)., for the sales and promotions of this product. This was his first single step on this venture that will prove to be a giant leap in the years to come.

 

During the first quarter of 1989, some of his colleagues decided to form a similar entity to introduce and promote the sales of THYSSEN Steel, from West Germany and Eng’r. BIENVENIDO H. SEMERA was invited to spearhead the operations and sales of this outfit. Equipped with years of experience, technical know how plus the knowledge that he obtained from various training and seminars here and abroad, he decided to accept this challenging role and under his stewardship, this new company grew. Confident that he can now push through with his dreams and hopes of putting up his own company, he waited patiently for the right time and opportunity.

 

Finally, the year after the millennium (Year 2001) Engr. BIENVENIDO H. SEMERA unveiled the fulfillment of his dreams and hopes. As a SOLE Proprietor, he founded “GERMAN ALLOY STEEL ENTERPRISES” and started its operations on January 31, 2001. On May 29, 2003, the Business was INCORPORATED with SEC Reg. NO. CS200311747 and became popularly as “GERMAN ALLOY STEEL INCORPORATED”.

 

The company now employs more or less twenty (20) personnel composed of Managers, Supervisors, Skilled Workers and Rank & File Employees. Having STAHLTEC METALLHANDELS GMBH, GERUK GMBH as the main suppliers of steels from West Germany, the company is presently catering high grade tool steels to various industries in our country, from Industrial to Agricultural.

 

It is the company’s goals and aims to create employment, render technical assistance to manufacturing companies, contribute to the progress of our country, and lastly to realize a reasonable profit for its Incorporators and Employees as well.

 

To meet the needs of our clients / customers for the right treatment of steels especially Hardening, Tempering and Annealing, another company was formed: INDUSTRIAL HEATING CORPORATION. The services offered is a must for “Tool and Die” longer life.  IHC or INDUSTRIAL HEATING CORPORATION was registered under SEC Reg. NO. A200115104.

 

Due to the ever increasing demands of our customers / clients another company was created to help them meet their needs in General Machining and Metal Fabrication services, and this company was registered under the name of STAHLWERK AND TOOLINGS INCORPORATED under SEC Reg. NO. CS200415020.

Our company established a brand which is acceptable in the high grade steel industry, the BOHLER STEELS of Austria. In August 03, 2018, Special Steel Products Co., Inc. formally appointed German Alloy Steel Incorporated to be the certified dealer of Bohler Steels of Austria here in the Philippines.
